Melissa Gordon is a songwriter, performer, guitarist, and lover of the stage from New York now residing in Los Angeles. A seasoned performer with a background in comedy and musical improv, Melissa enjoys connecting with audiences through her recording catalogue as well as performing live. It is her goal to take listeners on a journey where they can experience meaningful moments and process collective joy, humor, and sadness together. As a songwriter, her songs span multiple genres, styles, and moods, ranging between tender fingerpicking folk tunes, bluesy rock grooves, and poppy grunge.

Melissa has had the opportunity to be involved in a wide array of unique creative projects. She has performed original music, comedy, and solo shows at notable music and performing arts venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, the Knitting Factory, Bowery Electric, Culture Lab LIC, Dixon Place, the Magnet Theater, the People's Improv Theatre, the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre, and countless restaurants, bars, backrooms and private events.  She has also done voice over work for a handful of projects. Melissa won an honorable mention in the 2017 SWAN Song Contest, and sang and performed the songs of Phoebe at the Friends 20th Anniversary Central Perk pop up in SoHo. She is also a contributing songwriter for the Story Pirates Podcast, an iHeartRadio award winning Kids and Family podcast. Her previous project, Melissa and the Mannequins, active from 2015-2019 released the album Mtns/Plane/Sky in 2018 and performed at venues across New York City. As a solo artist, Melissa has released the single "Happy New Year To Me" in 2020, "Live at Rockwood 2021 (Live at Rockwood Music Hall)" and "Songs From The Coven" in 2022, “Anything” in 2023, “Nightlight” in 2024, with more music on the way. "Upstairs" was a featured song on WFUV 90.7’s New York Slice and "Got Our Share" was featured on the UK's Readifolk Radio Show.
